Look Again: Seeing Irony in Urban Spaces

$215.00

This five-hour photography workshop invites participants to slow down and reconsider the urban environment through the lens of irony. Inspired by the work of New Topographics photographers, as well as William Eggleston and Lewis Baltz, we will explore how ordinary urban spaces—parking lots, signage, storefronts, and overlooked corners—often contain quiet contradictions.

Through guided shooting and a photowalk, participants will learn to identify moments where intention and reality diverge: spaces designed for order that feel chaotic, messages that contradict their surroundings, and environments shaped as much by chance as by design. Emphasis will be placed on careful observation, framing, and the use of light, color, and timing to reveal these tensions.

The workshop includes a visual introduction, on-site shooting exercises, real-time feedback, and a critique of participants' images.
